Project status & founding-stay-points proposal
Where Plainspoken is today
Plainspoken is a proposed retreat concept. No land is secured, no building has started, no regulatory approvals are claimed, and no stay, availability or opening date is offered. Registering interest creates no booking, contract or obligation.
How future points may work
If—and only if—a founding campaign is activated, guests could buy points for future stays. The current working idea is that a Friday night may require about 5 points, and founding points would cost R50 less per point than the later standard price. These are illustrations, not an offer, price or promise.
Conditions before any purchase can open
Before collecting any payment, Plainspoken must publish a defined proposed site and conditions, a minimum funding target and deadline, capped capacity, a costed development budget with contingency and refund reserve, fair cancellation/delay terms, a secure payment provider, a verified webhook/refund process, and independently reviewed customer terms. Legal and consumer-law review is required before launch.
Customer-first failure terms
If a future campaign’s stated target or project conditions are not met by its deadline, payments would be refunded or not captured according to the published provider flow. Plainspoken would not describe points as non-refundable to remove consumer rights. Any customer cancellation policy would be fair, clearly disclosed and legally reviewed.
No investment
Founding points would be pre-purchased stays only, never equity, debt, profit share, investment, loan or financial contribution. No points are currently for sale.
